Honeydew Refresher

It would take all day to list the reasons why I love summer.  One of the main reasons is that fruit is in season and cheap!  The boys and I took Peter out for lunch for Father's Day and the Little Guy got a fruit cup with honeydew, watermelon and cantaloupe.  He loved it!  When I saw honeydew on sale the next week I knew I had to get it.  In typical Little Guy fashion he decided he wasn't too into honeydew so Peter and I had to finish it off.

I found this recipe in a book of 100 smoothies.  It was the only honeydew recipe so I thought I'd give it a try. It was SO yummy!!  This drink is super refreshing and healthy too!

Honeydew Refresher

3 cups honeydew
2 cups sparkling soda
2 Tbsp honey

Cut your honey dew into chunks.  Put all three ingredients in the blender and blend.

Yeah, that's it.  Super easy and super yummy!

We like smoothies with and icy feel so next time I think I will freeze the honeydew before blending.  I think adding ice would dilute it too much once you blend but you could try that as well.  You could also try this with watermelon or cantaloupe as well!

This is also a really pretty drink.  It would be a great drink for a brunch or even a small baby or wedding shower!

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
