Miscellany Monday

Somehow I've managed to take a 3 week blogging break without intending to!  We've been busy around here and I'm learning to just enjoy life as it comes.  That means iphone pictures instead of perfect DSLR prints but let's be honest.  Life through the lens of my phone is probably a little more accurate.  A little blurry...a lot of real.

Little Guy as a paci man until just recently.  As an early birthday/give up your paci present we got him a balance bike.  At first he hated it but now he wants to ride it all the time.  He carries it up and down the stairs of our house so he can ride it all day long.  It's adorable!

I grew up attending the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.  To my delight the church we've found ourselves attending here in Tacoma is also a CMA church.  This hymnal was our church hymnal growing up.  A buddy of mine instagrammed this a couple of weeks ago when he was leading worship at his home church.  Immediately I checked the internet to see if I could find a used copy and it finally arrived last week!  I can't wait to delve into it and use it during my quiet time!

This!  This little venture is a little crazy and a lot of fun.  If you would have asked me 3 months ago if I was interested in starting my own business the answer would have been a definite no.  But the Lord clearly had his hand on this!  Stay tuned for a little more of my story this week.  I'm SO excited about what God is going to do!!

Does your entry way look like this?  Geez!!  I feel like I clean up this area 9 times a day and it is stil full of stuff!!  This is real life.  Also why are we wearing pants in JULY!!!

This was yummy!!  Recipe stolen from my dear friend Mica coming this week!!

I might have gone the long way home the other day.  And by the long way I mean driving around no the west end until I found the perfect spot to capture the sunset.  It was glorious!

I took the plunge and went blonde again.  My sister says you should spend money on your hair and your skin....those are the things that you have every day.  So I did.  And I love it!

This kid.  He came downstairs the other night and told me he couldn't sleep.  When I asked him what he was up to he said, "Reading ham and bible stories."  What?  It took me a while to realize he was talking about the Green Eggs and Ham variety!!

If you are a new follower welcome!!  I'm so glad to have you!!  This is going to be a busy blogging week...lots of fun stuff going on!  (I use a LOT of exclamation points.)

Happy Monday!!

  1. I'm in the same boat - I somehow have taken a break too and have no clue if I'll catch up! I blame it on being in Mexico but I've now been back for 2 weeks and I'm still slacking. Oh well, I'll get to it!
