2 Month Update

Dear Stafford,

Today is your 2-month birthday!!  Every month I am sure I will say, "I can't believe you are already x-months old!!" but it is true!  I can't believe you are already two months old.  The last few weeks have gone by so  quickly and you've been very busy!

At your 2-month check-up you weighed 11 pounds 7 ounces.  You are 23 inches long.  That puts you in the 50th for both height and weight.  You had your shots and both you and Mama did a pretty good job.  Thankfully Daddy was able to come along to help me!

Last week I finally put away most of your newborn clothes.  You still have a few outfits you can wear but for the most part you are on to bigger and better things.  Your 3 month clothes are pretty big on you.  You are also wear size 1 diapers.

You are still a very happy baby.  My favorite time with you is in the morning after we get up.  When I change your diaper you giggle and coo and smile at me.  Sometime I just leave you laying there and talk to you for a few minutes because you are so cute!  You usually play in your floor gym in the mornings.  I think your favorite toy is the giraffe because you hit him a lot.  In the afternoon and early evenings you are sometimes fussy but you are quiet as long as Mama is holding you.  We are still sticking to our 3-hour schedule and hopefully in the next month will figure out a good bedtime.
You are still a really good sleeper!  For about a week you slept from 11:30-5:30 for us but right now you are back to a four-hour schedule at night.  You are still a night owl and don't want to go to bed until 11 or 12.  You do go straight to sleep though after your middle of the night feeding so that is really nice.  And even if you do go to bed at 12 you wake around 4 and then 8 to eat.  So Mama still gets some decent sleep!  You are sleeping in your own room now with no trouble. Such a big boy!

When you were 6 weeks old you and Mama took a roadtrip to Kentucky.  While you were there we got to see all sorts of family and friends!  You did a great job in the car and we had so much fun our trip.
Everyday brings new and exciting things for us to learn together.  We are so thankful for you and we love watching you grown and change.  It has been so fun this past month to see you start to recognize our voices and smile and coo at us!
