The Wonder of it All
One of my favorite things about having children is getting to experience the world all over again through their eyes. Sometimes I have to remember to get down on their level so I can really see things the way they do. I love taking the Little Guy to the zoo. No matter how many times we go he is always excited to see the animals and talks about them before we go and after we return.
We were fortunate enough to have Daddy home for a day off this week so we took advantage of our membership and headed over for a quick tour after naps. It was a short and sweet visit. Here are some of the highlights.
Gorgeous flowers in bloom even in the winter
The Little Guy had quite the conversation with this shark.
This was the best we could do. Oh the infamous cheese face.
A little better of the 3 boys. Aren't they cute?
This is a Oomingmak. It posed up there on the rock the whole time we were there.
Little Guy is into the fish. He tells me what color they all are.....at the top of his lungs. We clearly need to work on the concept of "inside voice".
This walrus was crazy! It kept bumping up against the wall. It is seriously huge!!
The view from the zoo!
The Red Wolves. I really like this picture. I wish the sun had been down just a tad more but the zoo was closing and we had to get out of there. They were waiting for dinner!
This guy! Look at that sweet boy!! He had a great time. It won't be long before he is toddling around looking at all of the animals too!!
I still have to sing the 'inside voice' song to my 5-yr old sometimes, lol.
