12 Month Update

Dear Reed,

I'm only two months late with this update. It seems that keeping up with you takes more time that I realize.  You are such a busy boy.  I wish I could bottle up your energy and all your sweet smiles.  I'd be rich!

You are still a little guy but you have a mighty appetite.  You are still nursing 3 times a day and eating 3 meals and snacks.  I let you try peanut butter and jelly and you love it.  You can eat a whole sandwich.  You also still love any fruit or vegetable and pizza.  You have also finally tried milk and love that as well!

You are finally wearing size 3 diapers and you are wearing 6-12 months clothes in some and 6-9 in some.  You have such a skinny little waist you can't keep up your pants!  It has been fun to get out some of your brother's old clothes that were my favorites.

I think you are going to be very athletic.  You already love to run and climb.  You seem to be working more on physical skills at this point.  So far the only words we have heard you say are Mama and Dada.  You say Mama all day long so I'm not sure that you really know what it means.  It's still fun to hear though!

You usually take one long nap in the afternoons.  Often we are out and about in the morning so you get tired and are ready to lay down after lunch.  On days we are home you will sometimes nap around 10 ro 10:30.  Usually you'll sleep until 1:30 and then that is your nap for the day.  I like it better when you wait to sleep at the same time as Stafford!

You are an absolutely delightful baby.  You laugh and giggle all the time.  You rarely fuss or cry and you are so laid back and easy going.  It's fun to watch you play and interact with Stafford.  My favorite thing you do is zooming cars on the floor.  You also seem to enjoy the train table and you have started using one of your shape sorters.  You love riding the swing at the park.

We are so blessed to be your Mama & Daddy and can't wait to see what the next year will bring!
